I don’t mean to complain, but…

I am at that point again, that point where I have so much to do and so little time to do it that I’m just slowly caving in on myself. There’s barely time for me to breathe, let alone eat or sleep. I don’t know if I just have a really bad habit of overcommitting myself or if every student is this busy right now, but either way, it’s not right. No one should be so bogged down that they can’t even hold a normal conversation without thinking, “Okayy, you can be done talking now. I’ve got things to do!!”

It’s bad. It’s very, very bad.

And people wonder why college students drink…

If it were a perfect world, I would be able to handle an 18 credit schedule of upper-level classes. I would be able to handle two majors and a minor while also having four-ish jobs.

Actually, if it were a perfect world, I wouldn’t be in college right now, anyway.

But the world isn’t perfect, and so I struggle. We all struggle. And it’s something we just have to deal with, as sucky as it is.

Forced deep breaths, occasional snacks, and various cat naps — those are what will get us by. Those are the real things college is made of — again, as sucky as it is
